salām bé hamegee! What a fantastic first week of bootcamp we've had! It was wonderful to see so many of you at our live kickoff session. If you missed it, don't worry—you can still watch the replay here, with passcode: A#cjb08D. Many of you have also been attending our live practice sessions, which is amazing! I believe these sessions are one of the most valuable parts of our program—it's a chance to connect with others and put into practice what you've learned. Language learning isn't theoretical; it's about communication, and practicing is the only way to improve. A quick note about our live practice sessions: The goal is to connect with others, making these sessions an active experience. We want to see those cameras on so we can connect with you face-to-face! Communication involves more than just words—facial expressions and gestures are key to getting your point across. I know practicing a new language can feel intimidating, but remember, Chai and Conversation is a supportive, judgment-free community. So give it a try! Sign up for the live sessions here. Choose your level and check out the weekly guide (included in the live description) to prepare for our discussions. Check-in with Monelli: Our first "Check-in with Monelli" session is happening this Monday! These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to connect with others across all levels of the Chai and Conversation community. Come and share your wins, questions, challenges—anything you'd like to discuss! We have two session times available for you to choose from. If you have any questions about the live sessions, feel free to ask in the Questions/Discussion section of Circle! Goals, Goals, Goals! Now, I'd love for you to take a moment to fill out this short survey about your goals for the bootcamp. Writing down your goals helps make them more achievable. The survey also asks about your level, your preferred session timings, and whether we need more sessions—your feedback is really valuable to us! I've loved seeing your assignments, especially your poetry analyses—fantastic work, everyone! ghorbāné shomā, |

salām shāgerdāné aziz (hello dear students), I know this year's nowruz feels different for many of us. What is happening in Iran- what has been happening- touches every family in this community in one way or another. I've thought a lot about whether this is the right moment to send these letters, whether celebrating feels wrong, whether joy is something we're allowed to have right now. And I keep coming back to this: nowruz is not a celebration that depends on circumstances. It is the earth...
